Welcome Families of 1MS!
Hello! My name is Nicole Masucci and I am a graduate from Rowan University where I graduated with a B.A. in ElementaryHello and welcome! My name is Nicole Masucci, and I’m so excited to be your child’s first grade teacher this year! I graduated from Rowan University with degrees in Elementary Education and Liberal Arts, with a focus in English. I also completed my Orton-Gillingham Certification at FDU, which helps me support my students in becoming confident readers and writers.
This will be my 15th year teaching first grade at Memorial School, and I can hardly believe how quickly the time has gone by! It’s truly a joy to watch my students grow and learn each year.
A little about me: My husband, Pete, and I have been happily married for 12 years. We have two wonderful children—Parker, who just turned 9 and will be starting 4th grade, and Jayce, who is 4 and enjoys playing and learning at preschool. Our family also includes Dexter, our friendly orange tabby cat, who loves to snuggle.
I’m looking forward to a fun, exciting, and engaging year ahead, and I can’t wait to get to know your child better. Together, we’ll build a strong foundation for learning, create lasting memories, and make this year one to remember!
Here’s to an amazing school year ahead!
I welcome and value parent involvement throughout the year and look forward to working as a team to support your child's growth. Please contact me with any questions, comments, concerns or just to say 'hello!'

We had some fun adventures throughout the summer. One of our favorites was our vacation to Lake George!
Sweets & Treats
What fun is summer without some treats?
S'mores and ice cream, please!
Fun in the Sun!
This summer we spent a lot of time with family and friends. From pool parties to BBQing and lake trips, we got to catch up on some quality time with the ones we love and made some great memories!
I have compiled a list of resources and websites that can help foster your child's interest in reading, keep their math skills sharp, and learn more about a ton of science topics. By taking advantage of these free resources, your child will be able to practice reading independently, have a new story read to them, practice number concepts, and discover jellyfish, the water cycle and more!
