The Doyle Diary Project

Sources

Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) was a Swedish-American poet who won two Pulitzer Prizes for his poetry in 1919 and 1951 and a Pulitzer Prize for his biography on Abraham Lincoln in 1940. Upon his death in 1967, President Lyndon B. Johnson remembered him as "more than the voice of America, more than the poet of its strength and genius. He was America."
