Research

We are developing a Ti: Sapphire amplifier system capable of producing pulses of 60mJ, with less than 100 femtosecond pulse duration, at a 30 Hz repetition rate. This chirped pulse amplification system consists of three pump lasers, one modelock fs laser, one regenerative pre-amplifier with pulse stretcher, one multi-pass amplifier, a synchronization system, and a pulse compressor. The total gain is up to 108. It is ideal for X-ray sources and high harmonic generation.
