Lyndsey Brown, she/her (Alice Spencer / Alice) is thrilled to return to the Brightpoint stage as an alumna, celebrating the transformational power of imagination and the courage to persevere even in the darkest of times, under the brilliant direction of Foster Solomon. When she's not tumbling down rabbit holes, Lyndsey shares her love of theatre with the next generation of performers as a drama teacher at Prince George High School. Some of her recent acting credits include Gabriel: The Musical (Lucy) at Firehouse Theatre, as well as Steel Magnolias (M’Lynn) and Songs for a New World (Woman 1) at Longwood University. Katy Mulligan, she/her (Red Cross Nurse / Queen of Hearts) is a Brightpoint alumna who is thrilled to be back for a trip to Wonderland! She graduated from Longwood in 2024 with a B.A. in Theatre, concentrating in Pre K-12 Education. Nathan Hamill, he/him (Harold Pudding / Mad Hatter) is thrilled to be part of this production of Alice by Heart. He has been in several shows throughout college and high school such as Jekyll and Hyde the Musical, Elephant’s Graveyard, Clue, Phantom Tollbooth, and many others. He enjoys the challenges the role has brought to the table as well as the opportunities it has given. He enjoys playing DnD and other tabletop games and is currently running a game. His plans are to pursue acting into the far future.
Mazlyn Jennings, he/she (Tabatha / Cheshire Cat) is a recent addition to Brightpoint Theatre, but is delighted to be an active participant in what marks her third Brightpoint production. After making her debut with The Phantom Tollbooth last spring, a show that solidified her love for performing, she is so happy to gain new knowledge, new experiences, and new friends from the incredible work done with the cast and crew of Alice By Heart.
Guillermo Lopez Avan, he/him (Dodgy / Duchess) is so excited to be performing in his first show at Brightpoint! He is currently studying to receive his AFA in Theatre with a concentration in performance. Some previous credits include Demetrius A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ponyboy The Outsiders, Mush Newsies, Beethoven Dog Sees God. Guillermo has also directed several shows at Dinwiddie High School including 10 Reasons Why… , The Insanity of Mary Girard, and Peter and the Starcatcher. He would like to give a special shout out to the creative team for working relentlessly to make all this magic happen. Chasey-Lynn Baber, she/her (Clarissa / Mock Turtle) has had a passion for singing since childhood and a background in musical theatre since middle school. Some of her favorite musicals include Waitress, Heathers, and Be More Chill. She also has a love for jazz and is always excited to explore new musical opportunities. Being part of this production has been an incredible experience, and she is grateful for the time spent with this amazing cast. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Charlie Youel, he/him (Nigel / Dormouse) is glad you came to see the show! He’s been acting for over 8 years, and some recent credits include Johnathan Harker in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, Lucas in The Addams Family, Daddy Murphy in Brightstar: School Edition, Ladislav Sipos in She Loves Me, and Davey in Newsies. He is currently a Theatre major here at Brightpoint, with a plan to transfer to Longwood University for Theatre Education.
Thomas Jones, he/she/they (Angus / Caterpillar) has performed at Brightpoint for several productions, such as: Dark of the Moon, Hillside Chronicles, John Proctor is the Villain and now Alice by Heart; and working backstage for Willjee. They are glad to be returning to musical theater for the first time in over half a decade, and they would like to thank everyone that has helped them get this far!
Bobby Lee, he/him (Dr. Butridge / King of Hearts / Jabberwork) is excited to perform in his first show at Brightpoint Community College! He grew up doing community theatre in the Richmond area throughout high school, and is excited to finally be back on stage. Though it’s been hard work, he is thankful for the friends, experiences, and knowledge he has gained along the way
Emma Rambo, she/her (Marjorie / Caterpillar 2) is absolutely thrilled to be working with an amazing group of people to make this show possible. This is her fourth production here at Brightpoint Community College where she is pursuing theater. Emma would also like to thank her boss and coworkers at Kroger Pharmacy for dealing with her insane schedule. She has enjoyed putting a great show together with a wonderful cast and crew who have all worked incredibly hard to make this happen. A huge thanks to them!
Piper Chick, she/her (Nurse 2 / Queen of Diamonds) is a Senior at VCU pursuing a BA in Theatre with Minors in Education and Musical Theatre. Some past productions include: Enid Hoopes in Legally Blonde (Homefront Players), Anya u/s in Anastasia (Phantom Players), and Aunt March in Little Women (SALT). Abby Maurer, she/her (Jane / Mock Mock Mock Turtle) is absolutely thrilled to participate in her first production at the Lynn Theatre. Currently enrolled at Brightpoint Community College, she is majoring in theatre with the hopes of transferring to Emerson. Abby has been in several other plays, such as Newsies, Oz, Once on This Island, and Elf. She’s extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast and crew.
Jude Fisher, she/her (Mock Mock Turtle / Ensemble) is an aspiring performer and musician, Jude has been apart of musical theater since she was in high school. This year she hopes to release her first single Verdant Eyes in the spring.
Kellan Marie Garka, she/they (Mock Mock Mock Mock Turtle / Ensemble) is making their Brightpoint debut in Alice By Heart. This entire team of people have been absolutely incredible to work with. Kellan has worked both on and off stage, starring as The Witch in Into the Woods and being Stage Manager for Murder on The Orient Express. She wants to thank Megan for always supporting her through thick and thin.
Alexia Hardy, she/her (Knave of Hearts / Ensemble) is so excited to be a part of this amazing show! She’s been acting for about four years now, and some of her recent credits include Annie Warbucks in Annie, Summer Hathaway in School of Rock, Xavia Jones in Puffs, and Mrs. Hale in Trifles. She is a current Theatre major at Brightpoint, planning to transfer either to CNU or VCU to finish off her Bachelor’s Degree. Josiah Bennett, he/him (Knave of Clubs / Ensemble) is honored to be involved in his second production at Brightpoint as a first year student. He started here in the winter production of Willjee as a part of backstage crew. He is a performer at heart, portraying notable roles in high school such as Paul San Marco in A Chorus Line, and Chip Tolentino in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Sam Kopsinis, he/him (Ensemble) is thrilled to be in his second production here at Brightpoint Community College. You may recognize him from The Phantom Tollbooth last year where he was the Dodecahedron and the Demon of Senses or from crew during the past two years. Enjoy the ride to Wonderland!
Maddisen Harris, she/her (Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her first show with The Lynn Theatre.
Kerrigan Sullivan (she/her) is currently the Department Chair of Performing Arts at Brightpoint Community College and the Producing Artistic Director of The Lynn Theatre at Brightpoint. She has been teaching theatre and communication courses at the college for 22 years now, since moving from New York City to Virginia. Prior to landing in Virginia, she worked as an actress for years in New York City and regionally in theatre, film and television. A few favorites are A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden, The Batman Forever Stunt Show at Six Flags Great Adventure, Sex and the City and Guiding Light. Kerrigan has directed locally with CAT and Firehouse Theatre Project as well as in and around New York City at various venues including The Producers Club, Samuel Beckett Theater, Raw Space, NADA, Expanded Arts, The Riant and Northern Westchester Center for the Arts to name a few. As intimacy director, Kerrigan received training from TIE (Theatrical Intimacy Education) and is working towards full certification as an intimacy educator and advocate. Kerrigan holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts and an M.F.A. in Theatre Directing from Brooklyn College.
Foster Solomon (he/him) is an actor/writer/director. Co-creator and director of the historical musical, Gabriel, about the planned Virginia slave rebellion of 1800, Solomon’s theatrical directing highlights include Arcadia and Much Ado About Nothing for Richmond Shakespeare; The Piano Lesson for Virginia Union University; To Kill a Mockingbird for The Barksdale Theatre; and the world premiere of Cartoon for a New Ceiling for New Perspectives Theater in NYC. Writing highlights include The Penny Executive: the Maggie L. Walker Story for Carpenter Science Theatre and the award-winning short film, Tamed. Solomon's dramatic feature film, Hawks Ridge, which he wrote and directed, is now streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi. Solomon holds an MFA from The Shakespeare Theatre's Academy for Classical Acting.
Saskia Price (she/they) is so excited to be making their AD debut with Lynn Theatre's production of Alice by Heart. Thank you to Foster Solomon, Kerrigan Sullivan, Alleigh Scantling, Russell Paulette, and the entire cast and design crew of Alice by Heart for making this show a dream come true. Cassie Cipolla (she/her) is a classically trained Mezzo-Soprano from the foothills of Virginia. Graduating VCU (BM 2013) and UNCG (MM 2017) in Vocal Performance, she is an accomplished performer with a favorite being The Secretary in Menotti's The Consul. Grateful for the opportunities Brightpoint has given, she has loved her time as their music director since 2022.
Lisa Perkinson (she/her) holds a BA in dance from James Madison University and an MFA in dance from Sarah Lawrence College. While in graduate school, Lisa trained extensively with Sara Rudner, Peggy Gould, and Kathy Westwater focusing on teaching methods, writing and research, and choreographic inquiry. Her choreography has been presented at Bennington College, Sarah Lawrence College, James Madison University, Hollins University, and Dogtown Dance Theatre. As a performer, she has had the privilege of working with choreographers Jodi Melnick, Dianne McIntyre, Shannon Hummel, Tara Zaffuto Mullins, and Shane O’Hara among others. Lisa has taught advanced Modern, Ballet, Improvisation and Composition courses at Sarah Lawrence College, Gotta Dance! School of Performing Arts, Inc., and Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology. Currently Lisa is the full-time dance teacher for Dogwood Middle School, an arts-integrated school located in Richmond, VA. She is an Academic Architect for Richmond Public Schools, developing the dance curriculum and collaborating with core content faculty to implement dance into all areas of learning. Lisa also performs with RADAR; a Richmond based modern dance company.
Lindsey Ladnier (she/they) is an experienced local costume designer with an eye for color. She designed several shows for the University of Denver and Theatre Esprit Asia before moving to Virginia. Locally, she has worked in tandem with Chamberlayne Actors Theatre and Richmond Shakespeare, and as resident costume designer for the Lynn Theatre. Some of her most recent works include The Phantom Tollbooth, Painting Churches, and Lord of the Flies.
Adrian Gordon (he/him) is super excited to be the sound designer for Alice by Heart. He has previously worked with Brightpoint as the sound designer for John Proctor is the Villain and Willjee, as well as doing live mixing for The Phantom Tollbooth. Adrian has also worked with the Weinstein JCC doing live mixing for their 2024 production of Fiddler on the Roof.
Justin Lee (he/him) is an active teacher, collaborative pianist, and solo performer in the Richmond area. He has worked as an adjunct music instructor at Brightpoint since 2019 and is excited to get the opportunity to play for this production. In addition to his teaching duties at Brightpoint, he is also a music faculty member at University of Richmond. He has two degrees in piano performance: a BM from Virginia Commonwealth University (2015) and an MM from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2018). In his free time, Justin enjoys traveling with his partner Chloe, and spending time with their two black cats, Aze and Schmitty

Some recent credits include backstage crew in Proof, which ran at Hanover Tavern; and crew in Willjee at Brightpoint. She is currently studying Theater Production at Brighpoint Community College. Jacob Williams (he/him) is a current Brightpoint student focusing on their major in Visual Arts with a Film Specialization. Liz Allmon (she/her) has been a theatre and arts professional for over fifteen years. She has been working extensively in the Richmond theatre community for the past seven wearing many hats at Brightpoint and serving as Technical Director at Swift Creek Mill Theatre. In her free time, she enjoys creating artwork which has been showcased in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, and WSJ. She holds a BFA in Scenic Design and Technology from UNC School of the Arts and an MBA from Longwood University.
Alleigh Scantling (she/her) has had the honor of working with the Lynn Theatre at Brightpoint Community College for over eight years, serving as production manager, stage manager, and lighting designer. Passionate about supporting both students and the community, her favorite credits include Hawk’s Ridge, Once on This Island, Jump Baby, Legacy of Light, and The Phantom Tollbooth. Russell Paulette (he/him) has served in a variety of roles at Brightpoint Community College over the past few seasons. Prior to that, he has directed numerous one-acts and musicals for high school audiences, earning several awards, including the 2016-2017 Group 1A State Runner-Up for his original one-act, Thieves of Mercy. A one-time playwriting finalist for New Voices for the Theatre, another of Russell’s one-acts, The Blue and the Grey, is published by Theatrefolk Ltd.
Nalo Bickersteth (he/they) is excited to be a part of the stage management team for the first time! This is Nalo’s first semester here at Brightpoint and he is thrilled to be a part of this production.
