Rachel Landsee, she/her, is ecstatic to debut Jump Baby at The Lynn Theatre! A writer with a law and military background including service in the Iraq War, Rachel is passionate about using art to detail contours of armed conflict. She sends her love to Avalanche, Hurricane, and Tsunami (the OG Jump Baby), her daily forces of nature. She thanks anyone who has worn the uniform, and all partners and families who make it work. She has exited an aircraft while in flight 22 times and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. More at landseerachel.com

Mark Messing
Mark Messing, he/him, writes music for theater. He was band director for circus punk marching band Mucca Pazza parading through libraries, museums, and bars from coast to coast. He composed street theater music for parks and streets with Chicago arts organization Opera-Matic. He has written songs for Mother Courage with Bricklayers Theater and Collectif Masque; The Thief of Bagdad with The Ljubljana Puppet Theater of Slovenia; and The Houdini Box for Chicago Children’s Theater. He composed the chamber opera The Hunchback Variations Opera for Theater Oobleck in Chicago. And most recently he wrote the songs with Rachel Landsee for Jump Baby.

Rachel Rose Gilmour
Rachel Rose Gilmour, she/her, is thrilled to be a part of the creative process of a new musical! Select favorite shows in Richmond include Virginia Repertory Theatre’s Steel Magnolias (Shelby) and Barefoot in The Park (Corrie); 5th Wall Theatre’s The Toxic Avenger (Sarah), Lizzie (Lizzie) and Murder Ballad (Narrator); Richmond Shakes' The Great Gatsby (Daisy); Swift Creek Mill’s Cyrano De Bergerac (Roxane); RTP’s Sondheim on Sondheim (Vanessa Williams); and Forbidden Broadway at The Dogwood Dell. Next up, Rachel will be playing Patty in Virginia Musical Theatre’s School of Rock. Rachel can also be seen regularly in Loyalty Automotive commercials as the spokesperson! She’d like to thank Matt for his endless love and support.

Adam Turck
Adam Turck, he/him, is immensely gratified and so very jazzed to finally be part of bringing Rachel Landsee’s work to fruition. He was most recently seen as Eric Glass in Richmond Triangle Players’ landmark production of The Inheritance. Other credit highlights include: Hand to God with TheatreLab, The Laramie Project with RTP, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead with Richmond Shakes, and Chandler Hubbard’s Animal Control with Firehouse Theatre. Adam toured for 3 years with National Players, America’s longest running touring theatre company.

Jay Bynum, he/him, is really pumped for Jump Baby. He was recently seen as Monsieur du Châtelet in Legacy of Light. He can’t wait to make people smile, laugh, and reminisce, and has had a great time working on this production. He holds a great amount of respect for everyone on this cast, and how they put their hearts into this show.

Conner McGowan
Conner McGowan, he/him, is delighted to be involved in the production of Jump Baby. Coming from a military background, Conner is no stranger to the turmoil and stress the military can have on a family. He believes to present this to an open audience and to give more insight on what it's like to be in the military is not only important, but necessary to understand what it's like for our brothers and sisters in uniform.

Mac Owens
Macaulay Owens, he/him, is excited to be a part of Rachel Landsee’s, Jump Baby, directed by Kerrigan Sullivan. This is his second production at Brightpoint following his role as Peter Brown in Legacy of Light. He is a student at Brightpoint studying acting and film. He would like to thank his family and friends.

Russell Paulette
Russell Paulette, he/him, has directed numerous one-acts and musicals for high school audiences, and last fall, he also served as Assistant Director for Brightpoint's production of Legacy of Light. Some of his previous productions competed in the Virginia High School League's One-Act Theatre festival, earning several acting and directing accolades, including the 2016-2017 Group 1A State Runner-Up for his original one-act, Thieves of Mercy. A one-time playwriting finalist for New Voices for the Theatre, another of Russell’s one-acts, The Blue and the Grey, is published by Theatrefolk Ltd.

Harrison Phillips
Harrison Phillips, he/him, is humbled and hyped for his first time performing in a new musical! He has previously been seen as Lord Farquaad in the Lynn Theater’s production of Shrek: the Musical and as Nick Bottom in our Fall 2021 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Next up, Harrison will be playing Armand in our Spring 2023 production of Once on This Island! Harrison would like to thank everyone in the cast for making this such a special process and for being the reason he looks forward to coming to every rehearsal!

Mahala Redden, she/her is delighted to be a part of Jump Baby. This is her first theatre performance at Brightpoint, but she has been participating in all things theatre since her freshman year of high school. She wants to thank her parents for supporting her and for the friends she made during this wonderful process. She always wants to thank all of the lovely crew, band, and Rachel Landsee for their time and patience. This has been a crazy new experience, and she is glad that she got to be a part of it.

Ariana Silva
Ariana Silva, they/she, is *jumping* with excitement for Jump Baby! Last spring, they made their Lynn Theatre debut in Shrek: The Musical. Recently, they played Olivia in Legacy of Light. Ari is tremendously grateful to Rachel Landsee and Kerrigan Sullivan for letting them be a part of this project and help share this story. And as always, they would like to thank their dog, Gonzo, for his constant support.

Julianna Velasquez
Julianna Velasquez, she/her is a Brightpoint Theater major and will receive her associate’s degree this semester. Jump Baby will be her second appearance on stage, and her debut as a professional performer. She intends to carry on working in theater and traveling after she graduates from Brightpoint. She is pleased to be a part of something that can broaden her perspective and aid in her development as an actor. She has many enjoyable memories with her castmates. She wants to learn more from this experience and develop more confidence and compassion moving forward.

Justin Lee
Justin Lee, he/him, is an active performer, pedagogue, and collaborative pianist and has been teaching at Brightpoint Community College since 2019. Mr. Lee teaches Applied Piano lessons, Advanced Music Theory, World Music, and Music in Society courses. Mr. Lee has two degrees in piano performance: a Bachelor of Music from Virginia Commonwealth University (2015) and a Master of Music from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2018). In addition to his teaching and collaborative piano duties at Brightpoint, he also serves as a staff accompanist at University of Richmond and Longwood University.

August Redden
August Redden, he/him, has been a musician for about 14 years. He started on trumpet and picked up other brass instruments along the way and has been in many different ensembles over the years, including some musical theatre bands. Some previous musicals he was a part of were Once Upon A Mattress at John Tyler Community College (2019), and Hairspray in high school. He is glad to have a chance at playing in an all original musical, which not everyone can say that they have done! Even though he is not a professional, he enjoys performing the best he can. When not practicing for the musical, August regularly leads singing at church and is part of a trombone choir called "BoneFire."

Elliot Loucks
Elliot Loucks, he/him, is a freshman at Brightpoint, and he's super excited to be participating in a theatrical production for the first time. He's no stranger to musical performances, as he's been playing the trumpet for seven years and loved being part of his high school's symphonic and marching bands. Elliot has recently started taking piano lessons and also enjoys playing percussion for one of his church's two praise bands. He is thrilled to be playing for Jump Baby and looks forward to being part of upcoming musicals events at Brightpoint.

Kerrigan Sullivan
Kerrigan Sullivan, she/her, is currently the Department Chair of Performing Arts at Brightpoint and the Producing Artistic Director of The Lynn Theatre. Kerrigan has been in well over a hundred plays since she began her career at the age of six. Some favorite professional credits include A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden, The Batman Forever Stunt Show at Six Flags Great Adventure, Sex and the City and Guiding Light. In addition to her performing credits, she has directed in and around New York City at various venues and assisted Artistic Director Julianne Boyd at The Barrington Stage Company.Locally, Kerrigan was recently seen as Becky in Becky’s New Car at CAT Theatre, Sybil in Count Dracula at Swift Creek Mill, Callie in Wishing Well at CAT Theatre, Dinah in The Quality of Life at HATTheatre (RTCC nomination for Best Ensemble), and as Gene Stratton Porter in a one woman show A Song in the Wilderness. Recent local directing credits include Wings (RTCC nomination for Best Director), The Fourth Wall and This World We Know at Firehouse Theatre Project. Kerrigan holds a B.F.A. from NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts and a M.F.A. from Brooklyn College.

Cassie Cipolla, she/her, is a Mezzo-Soprano from Delaplane, VA. Receiving her Bachelor of Music (VCU ‘13) and Master of Music (UNCG ‘17) respectively in Vocal Performance, her favorite roles have been Lucretia, Britten’s Rape of Lucretia (VCU Scene); Mother Jeanne, Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites (UNCG Opera); and the Secretary from Menotti’s The Consul (UNCG Opera). She is currently a Staff Singer with St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and is an adjunct instructor at Brightpoint Community College and the University of Richmond.

Alleigh Scantling
Alleigh Scantling, she/her, has been a part of The Lynn Theatre since its opening in 2016, and has enjoyed having the opportunity to watch this program grow. In addition to Brightpoint, Alleigh has spent several years working around the Richmond area with various theatres, venues, and high schools as a Production Manager, Stage Manager, and Lighting Designer. Some of her favorite credits include Shrek The Musical (The Lynn Theatre), Peter and the Starcatcher (The Lynn Theatre), Gloria (Cadence Theatre), and Newsies (Henrico High School). She is immensely grateful to Rachel Landsee for her hardwork and bravery in telling this beautiful story. Many thanks to her family and Kerrigan for their unwavering love and support.

Grace LaBelle, she/they, is excited to be a continued collaborator with The Lynn Theatre! She has been an active member of the RVA theatre community for the past 5 years and has worked with companies and venues such as Firehouse Theatre, The Perkinson Center, Swift Creek Mill, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Richmond Triangle Players, Cadence Theatre, and more as a Production Stage Manager, Assistant Director, Wardrobe, Foley Artist, and Sound and Lighting Designer & Technician. Upcoming productions include Ghost Quartet (Production Stage Manager/Sound Engineer; Firehouse Theatre), and Once On This Island (Stage Manager/Resident Sound Designer, The Lynn Theatre).

Lindsey Ladnier, she/her, is an experienced costume designer and an adjunct professor in costume construction as well as theatrical makeup. Her most recent works include Legacy of Light and Shrek: the Musical. She welcomed her second daughter, Violet Josephine, this last spring. She would like to thank her family for their unwavering support during this production.

Claire Bronchick
Claire Bronchick, they/them, is delighted to be back with the Lynn Theatre this season. Recent performances in Richmond include All's Well That Ends Well (Quill), The Last Cyclist (Jewish Family Theatre) and Christmas Kaddish (RTP; Artsies Nomination for Best Lead in a Musical). Claire is also a costume designer, working with RTP on their productions of The Pink Unicorn and Stonewallin'. They are a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, majoring in Theatre and French, and they studied at L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, France.
