For photography class, I snapped several photos at the Richmond Folk Festival this year. Since I had never seen Native American hoop dancing before, I was interested to go. On Oct. 10, 2021, I took several photos and had purposely blurred some of them to catch the ebb and flow, the grace of it. The dancer spoke about how hoop dancing was a way of life, and how the dancing told many stories. While these were four separate photographs, I used what we were learning in our Photoshop class to alter the images into one work. The photos were used for photography class but not Photoshop class. My message is that hoop dancing is the Story of Life. It is timeless and ageless.
