About Mrs. Lowerre

I am so excited to be your maker space/creativity teacher this year!! I am passionate about books, creativity, innovation and just learning cool stuff. I hope you are looking forward to the new school year as much as I am!

You might not guess that I grew up in a small town in Indiana and am proud to be a Hoosier at heart with a great love for basketball and all things family. I have been a teacher for many years and have had the opportunity to teach all over the country. My first few years were spent teaching third grade in Colorado Springs where I could see Pikes peak everyday from the playground. What an inspiration! I moved to Kansas and taught 5th grade followed by a move to California where I taught 3rd and 4th in San Marino and then up to the Napa Valley to teach 4th in St. Helena among the vineyards. Our last move was to Sharon MA and I was so lucky to be hired at the wonderful Dale Street School where I taught 5th grade for 15 years. I am thrilled to begin a new job this year as an Innovation Integration Specialist. I will be teaching in the maker space, writing grants, working with teachers, presenting and starting some new programs at Dale Street. A dream come true for me and I can wait to get started.

When I am not at school, I love all things gardening, football, basketball and reading. I love taking pictures (especially of my flowers and family) hiking and being at the beach. My husband Jim and my two kids Katie and Matthew (oh and cat Snuggles) bring joy to my heart and life.

Can't wait to get to know you this year. It's going to be an amazing journey!
