The Student Showcase is an event in which students from across the College share the work they have done in their courses, service learning, performances, and undergraduate research projects during the school year with their colleagues, faculty, and the community.
Participation is open to all.
The Showcase is sponsored by the EdCC Honors Program, The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and URSA, the Undergraduate Research Students Association.

Advice
Visuals
Your goal should be to make your poster easy to read. Keep the design and layout of your poster simple. Use pictures and graphics sparingly and avoid clutter. Consider making use of negative space. Do not use a background image as doing so makes your poster harder to read AND dramatically increases printing costs.
Logos
All posters should have the CSEL (Center for Student Engagement and Learning) and CCURI (Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative) logos as these organizations are (or have provided) material support for this event and/or the research projects.
Talk with your supervising faculty about which logos are required for your poster (NSF, LEAF, RiSE, etc.) based upon the funding sources for your respective projects.
Spelling, Grammar, etc..
Make sure to proofread each section of your poster for clarity flow AND to correct any spelling mistakes and/or grammatical errors. There is nothing like seeing misspelled word or garbled sentence displayed in 44-point font for all to see in a professional presentation.
Your supervising faculty are experts in this kind of design and they know your projects. Work closely with them to design and develop your poster.
