Zarah Brown

A third-year graduate student at the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, I study the thermosphere of Saturn using stellar occultation data from Cassini's Ultraviolet Imaging Spectrograph (UVIS). My undergraduate work was on the small-scale structure of Saturn's ring particles, particularly around inner Lindblad resonances, also using data from UVIS. When I am not studying planets, I enjoy painting and am on the board of The Art of Planetary Science, an annual show of fine art and beautiful data hosted by the Department of Planetary Science.
