Emily Vandenburgh final

Eternity by Emily Vandenburgh

JGHS Honor Music Theory students completed composition projects in lieu of a written final this year. Students had to apply what they learned this year in Honors Music Theory to their musical compositions, which were workshopped in class over the 4th quarter.
Performed by Emily Vandenburgh, this is her composition titled "Eternity". Brava Emily!

2021 L.I. String Festival Scholarship Winner, Maeve O'Connor

The Long Island String Festival Association (LISFA) awards scholarships every spring for deserving students who were selected to participate in the festival that school year. 7th grade student Maeve O'Connor was awarded the LISFA Private Study Grant. The grant awards students money to continue study on their instrument through private lessons. Only a few students from across Suffolk County are selected for this honor and it is a testament to Maeve's hard work and dedication to her study of the viola. Congratulations to Maeve on this wonderful accomplishment!
