Morning Announcements

Technology Club - All students are invited to join the Technology Club. The club will start the year off with a special focus on the Future city competition. The first meeting will be after school this Monday in Technology Room A with Mr. Wightman at 3:05.

Student Council Members - Student Council will be meeting Wednesday, Sept. 26th morning at 7:45 in Room 209! All 6th graders interested in running for Student Council must attend this meeting or see Ms. Riley or Mrs. Pirolo.

Community Service Club - The Community Service Club will have its first meeting until 3:30 in room 100 on Tuesday, September 25. We hope to see you there. See Ms. Giordano or Mrs. Pirolo if you cannot attend.

Garden club - The first garden club is Wednesday, September 26th. We will be meeting in the courtyard after school. Please arrange for a ride home at 4pm. New members are welcome- we will be planting our fall crop at our first meeting! Please see Mrs. Whitcomb if you have any questions in room #216.

6th Grade class t-shirts - 6th graders make sure you are placing your order for class t-shirts! Time is running out. The last day to order t-shirts is next Friday, September 28!

Art Club - If interested, see Mrs. Grady in Art E for a sign up form. Art Club is for 7th graders who have no art, but is also open to 6th and 8th graders who want more art. Membership will be limited to 25, so sign up soon. Meetings will be Fridays during 0 period, beginning on October 12th.

Chorus Lessons - This is a reminder that there are chorus lessons this morning in room 109. Group N will meet 1st period and Group O will meet 2nd period. These lessons will be for 7/8th-grade boys in chorus. Please check the lesson schedule outside of Room 109 if you are unsure of your lesson group.

Student Agenda Books - If you did not pick up your agenda book from the cafeteria or were not here on Friday, please stop by the main office on your lunch period today to pick up your Agenda book

EEE 5k Run - The Elwood Education Endowment’s 15th annual 5K Walk/Run for Education and Fun Run is coming!! Save money on registration when you register up until 9/20/18 - Come join us on 9/30/18 at this community event that directly benefits the students of Elwood. For more information, to download a registration form, or to register online visit . You can also collect pledges to defray the cost of registration. Download the registration form on the EEE’s website to view details about pledges on page 2 of the form. We hope to see you there!

National Junior Art Honor Society - 7th and 8th graders interested in becoming members of the NJAHS should see Mrs. Grady in Art E to pick up an application form. Members from last year still need to see Mrs. Grady and submit a Reflections Entry. Deadline for submitting applications is October 5th.

Ceramic Food Sculptures - 7th graders who did not pick up their clay food sculptures last June, please check the carts that will be outside Art E during your lunch period today. If yours is there, please take it.
