Snack Time
Our snack times are at 9:25 am and 1:25 pm. Please send a healthy snack and drink from home.
There is NO candy or soda allowed at school. REMEMBER: NO NUT PRODUCTS!
(We have several students who are severely allergic to NUTS!) Thank You.
Lunch
School lunches may be purchased from our Hot lunch provider, Hello Kitchen. A menu will be sent out two weeks in advance for you to select the lunches for your child. Your child may also bring a lunch from home.
Keep in mind that we have no way to heat up home lunches and refrigerator space is limited.
Birthdays
If you would like to bring a special treat for your child's birthday, you're welcome to bring it at one of our snack times.
Please talk to me ahead of time so we can arrange it.
Toys
No toys from home are allowed in Kindergarten, except on special days, like Share Days.
Share Days are usually on Friday.
Homework
Will be sent home in a HW folder every day, Monday through Thursday, and is to be returned the next day.
It will include work that reinforces what we have learned in class. This will help your child to review what he/she
has learned as well as for you to see how well your child understands a concept. Please go over the work with your
child. Make a note for me if they are having difficulty with something or if there is something you do not
understand.
Report Cards
Report cards are issued at the end of every quarter (every 9-10 weeks of school). The children do not receive letter
grades. The report cards are largely based on behavior and developmental level. There will be a parent/teacher
conference at the end of the 1st quarter. This is when you will meet with me to talk about your child's progress and any areas
he/she needs to work on. You will receive a copy of your child's report card at this meeting.
