We got Mittens from a friend who found her in a pile of cardboard, abandoned. I couldn't decide on a name for weeks, so I figured I'd let her choose her own name. I laid down several pieces of paper with names written on them: "Fuzzy," "Mittens," and "Other." She immediately jumped onto the paper that said "Mittens." Then I laid down two other papers with different spellings: "Mittens" and "Mittins." And she immediately jumped onto "Mittens."
