Robert Jay Thompson

I’m Robert Thompson and I graduated from Raton High School in 1979. Family means everything to me, Ive been married for 39 years now, and I was blessed to help raise my niece now going on 19 years. I’m a 6th generation Coal Miner, and a business owner of nearly 10 years. Later in life I worked for Colfax County for nearly 18 years, including seven years as Road Superintendent. During my time with the county, I helped secure grants for the Gardnier and Blosser Gap bridges, also paving at Bartlett Mesa and York Canyon, and started the paperwork for the low-water crossing. I also helped the Road Department obtain much-needed equipment. 

I've enjoyed serving the residents of Colfax County, and I look forward to doing it again.
