An ACTS Missions Chapter is a group eight (8) to twelve (12) of lay people who form a subsidiary of ACTS Missions, and are the organization’s legal representative in a diocese or region. A Chapter functions like an ACTS Missions regional office through Articles of Association, and falls under ACTS Missions 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. In areas where present, a Chapter is empowered to act by and through ACTS Missions authority to support and serve the parishes of a given diocese or region by fulfilling tasks that fall under the categories of education and evangelization. A Chapter partners with the local diocese(s) to help fulfill the local bishop’s pastoral plan with respect to evangelization. This ensures that the Chapter is operating according to diocesan protocol, and the local Ordinary is invited to appoint a liaison for transparency.
Through ACTS, the laity have an opportunity to participate in the Church's New Evangelization, and become the joyful missionary disciples called for by Pope Francis. We truly believe that ACTS is participating in the Church's apostolic mission, and that it may be a viable tool that could help realize the pastoral vision of your parish, with respect to evangelization. We see our role in this process as simply giving others an opportunity to share in this experience by bringing ACTS to a parish.
