An Analysis of the Experiences of Faculty and Families living on college campuses
We are conducting a study of Faculty-in-Residence and their families living on college campuses. Faculty-in-Residence can be defined as a university instructor who lives in university-owned housing and has student-facing responsibilities related to their housing. FIR partners are adult family members of FIRs who also live on campus (but may or may not work there).
If you fall into one of these categories, you are invited to complete a survey about your experiences living on a college campus. The purpose of the project is to better understand the support structures for faculty-in-residence (FIR) and their partners and families, as well as the challenges they face and the benefits they bring.
If you would like to participate in either the FIR survey or the partner/family survey, you will be asked to answer several multiple choice and short answer questions related to your experiences living on a college campus. Your participation will take approximately 20 minutes. Upon completion of the survey, you will be invited to enter a raffle to win a $50 Target gift card for your participation.
Participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to withdraw your consent or discontinue participation at any time. All answers are confidential. No individual information will ever be reported or released from this survey; only the researchers will see individual data and only grouped data will ever be reported. You have the right to refuse to answer particular questions. The results of this research study may be presented at professional meetings or published in an academic journal.
