About the Workshop
The AQIS 2024 Satellite Workshop on Fundamental Aspects of Quantum Information (FAQI) will take place from 31st August to 1st September 2024, at Sapporo City Gender Equality Center in Hokkaido, Japan. The FAQI is aimed at encouraging interactions and collaborations among researchers working on quantum information theory and technology, an interdisciplinary field bridging quantum physics, mathematics, and informatics. The main focuses are (but not limited to)
Foundations of Quantum Theory (e.g., contextuality, incompatibility, quasiprobability, etc.)
Quantum Measurement Theory
Quantum Resource Theory
Quantum Shannon Theory
Generalized Probabilistic Theory (and Operational Probabilistic Theory)

Notification of acceptance for talk presentation: July 22th, 2024
Poster submission deadline: August 10th, 2024
Notification of acceptance for poster presentation: August 12nd, 2024
Registration deadline: August 10th, 2024

The poster session will be held in collaboration with the AQIS2024 Satellite Workshop on Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing on the 1st day.
Registration
No registration fee is required.
Please submit the application early as there is a limit on the number of speakers for poster presentations. If there are many applicants for poster presentations, we will basically select presenters on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please refer to the AQIS2024 website for information regarding visas, useful links, and other details. If you need an invitation letter, you can proceed with the process through the AQIS2024 website “VISA” page by the end of July.
