All group email messages are posted to Google groups, not to the individual's inbox. An abridged summary of all groups messages will be sent at then end of each day.
In addition, anyone can view group messages at any time by opening Google Groups. To view your Google groups:
Login to Elms Gmail and click on the Google apps icon (as highlighted in the example on the left)
Choose Groups
Click on My Groups and choose your group from the list.
Here you will see a list of all the messages posted to your group in a message board format (as shown in the example below). You will also receive an abridged summary all messages posted to the groups to which you belong.
Group messages are moderated periodically during normal business hours and will not be immediately posted to the groups. Although users can check groups messages as often as they wish, communications should be carefully planned so that the timing of your messages is relevant to the content. For example, a message about a lunchtime event posted at 10 am will not likely be seen by many users. So the best approach is to post messages at least one day prior to the event.
You can turn off the Abridged Summary notification for your account and change when message are delivered to your inbox. Click HERE for detailed instructions.
