Earlier in the term, we were shown videos made by many different video artists. Marty McCutcheon was the artist that stood out to me the most. I like how in his videos, he takes some of the most common life experiences and turns them into something fun and entertaining to watch by using various effects and by having music that matches the scene perfectly. I used his movie, Double Decker, as my inspiration to make Great Day to Have A Great Day.
For our final project, we were given a lot of creative freedom. We were told to make a video. There were no restrictions or limits. It was up to us, as students, to interpret the project any way we wanted. For my video, I decided I wanted to make a spoof that was similar to the hit T.V. show, The Office. What I noticed was that The Office has slightly awkward camera angles, the camera seemed to be a little shaky and free hand, interview cut-scenes, and some hilarious, unpredictable humor. I tried to incorporate these aspects into my final video.
