About Me

I live with my family in Elmhurst and we love being a part of such a wonderful community. We are big sports fans especially the Blackhawks. My husband and I have 1 daughter, Hope, who is a freshman at York this year.

As Hope begins her sophomore year, I will be beginning my 27th year as an educator. I know this year will be very different for all of us and I will do everything I can to make it successful for all of us. This will be my 21st year in district 205. I spent 10 years at Field Elementary teaching 3rd-5th grade instructional. I came to Jackson in the fall of 2009 and was a special education resource teacher for 3 years and have been teaching in the Kindergarten-2nd grade instructional class since 2012.

I have a bachelors in special education from WIU and a masters in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University. I am in my 2nd year of graduate school pursuing a masters in educational literacy to gain a certificate as a reading specialist. I have spent many summers working as an Autism Coach, providing professional development to teachers and staff.

Teaching is my passion and I am excited to embark on your child's educational journey with you.
