Teacher instructions: Start a class discussion about what it means to be kind at Ellesmere College. Brainstorm ideas on to the whiteboard or large sheet of paper. Students can then choose to design their own poster about being kind, either by hand or on their device. Alternatively students can opt to colour in one of the kindness colouring templates.

Here's a link to a selection of songs about kindness that you could play while students are designing their posters/ colouring in. Students may have other suggestions.

Purpose of activity: An opportunity of personal reflection to consider why kindness is important and what kind actions students could start doing in and out of school. The completed posters or colouring pages could be displayed in the classrooms.
