I was born and raised in Bastrop, TX and still live there! I enjoy learning as much as I do teaching, and I really feel like this is my true calling in life. I feel so blessed to do what I do.
Mrs. McVay (Ms. Amy) - Para professional
My name is Amy McVay but everyone calls me Ms. Amy! This is my 20th year as a para professional in Special Education and my 25th year working in the school. In my spare time I love to bake, watch TV and rocking in my recliner.
Mrs. Fleckenstein - Para professional
I have worked for Elgin ISD for ten years as of next year. The last two years has been in the Life Skills department. To watch the faces of our students when they discover something new is such an awesome feeling. When a child can tie his shoe for the first time, you cannot forget the look on their face and the feeling of accomplishment. What a joy it is. I relax on the weekends and watch the Steelers on Sunday. Go Steelers!!!
