BASIC is a 5-week program that introduces participants to diverse and exciting career pathways in aviation. Designed in collaboration with aviation professionals and industry partners, BASIC equips learners with foundational skills, certifications, and career coaching to support successful entry into the aviation and aerospace workforce.
Participants gain exposure to five key aviation career paths:
Customer Service Agent
Flight Attendant
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)
Ground Handling
Air Traffic Management
Graduates of BASIC leave with industry-recognized credentials, professional connections, and a strong foundation to pursue careers across the aviation and aerospace sectors.

Program Components
BASIC combines technical training, employability skills, and mentorship to prepare participants for long-term career success in aviation. Components include:
Foundational Skills Training with an aviation focus
Career and Employment Coaching for career readiness
Resume Writing and Interview Skills workshops
Guest speakers and networking with aviation professionals
Long-term mentorship and career support
Workshops and activities are designed to strengthen these skills through practical, real-world applications such as teamwork, presentations, technical training, and professional communication.
Participants may obtain industry-recognized certifications such as:
Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A)
First Aid & CPR
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
