Electra Elementary PTO

Purpose

The Electra Elementary Parent & Teacher Organization is a nonprofit group comprised of parents, guardians, teachers, and staff. These individuals are all dedicated to enhancing and maximizing the educational experience of all students at Electra Elementary School while aiding them in achieving their highest potential. There are no dues and everyone is encouraged to join and get involved. Stay informed, make your voice heard, and have fun all while helping your child's school!

What PTO Does

Our PTO program supports the students and staff at Electra Elementary by raising money to buy playground equipment, library books, student achievement awards, staff appreciation items, and much more. PTO also contributes to field trips and our local P.E. running program.

Running Program

Coach Buchanan runs a local running program throughout the school year. At the end of the year, the top boy and top girl runner from each grade, K-4, get to take a  trip to Academy to purchase new shoes. This year they also visited OSTC to run an obstacle course , McDonalds for lunch, and then finished up their trip at the park! All of the students ran to help the school reach a total of 2,425 miles during the 2022-23 school year!!

Field Trips

Our PTO helps fund our elementary field trips through out the year. In 2022-23 the students got to go to many different places, including the Dundee State Fish Hatchery at Lake Diversion,  the Whiteside Museum in Seymour,  Science Museum Oklahoma in OKC, Medicine Park Aquarium & Natural Sciences Center, and many more!

Student Awards

The PTO funds many different types of student awards. On of those is the glow days that the kids get to participate in at the end of each six weeks. They earn time based on behavior, grades, attendance, and meeting goals.

Staff Appreciation

Our Elementary staff pours so much of their hearts into our students every day and the PTO loves showing how much that is appreciated.  Sometimes that is just a note, letting them know how much what they do means and sometimes it is a snack to make their day a little sweeter.
