The school-to-prison pipeline - Each year, many American students’ educations are disrupted by suspensions, expulsions, referrals to police, and in-school arrests. Today, behavior that is common to childhood and adolescent development is criminalized in schools creating delinquency records that stigmatize children of color and funnel them into the criminal justice system.
