Purpose
The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Colegio Einstein. (Article II, Chapter Bylaws)
What is the National Honor Society (NHS)?
"The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school's commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service."

"The Honor Societies are programs administered by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP.) NHS was established in 1921. NJHS was established in 1929. "

More Than an Academic Award
NHS student membership is the true mark of academic achievement, it goes far beyond a report card. All student members must also reflect the program’s respective pillars to be inducted and they must continue demonstrating these pillars within their community throughout their membership.

Membership

Scholarship
A commitment to learning. As a NHS member you are committed to putting in your best work regardless of the reward.
The cumulative standard of Scholarship for Colegio Einstein´s Chapter of the National Honor Society is maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.6.
Service
As a NHS member, your focus should be in working to make your school and community a better place. The willingness to work for the benefit of those in need without compensation or recognition is an essential factor in service.
Each chapter is required to conduct a minimum of one chapter service project each year.
Leadership
Leadership is taking the initiative to aid others in a wholesome manner throughout your daily activities. Leaders sacrifice their personal interest in order to yield to the needs of other.
Character
Character is who we are even when no one is watching. A good Character means doing the right thing just because it is right to do what is right.
NHS and NJHS refer to the definition of character provided by Character Counts!, namely a person of character demonstrates trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
