Science is Hands-on and Brains-on!

This class offers a unique opportunity to explore a variety of scientific topics. We will be using a variety of classroom tools, including – but not limited to: interactive technology, laboratory explorations, class discussion, analysis and application of scientific  literature, and independent research.  Students will practice becoming inquiring, knowledgeable thinkers who are capable of principled thought and communicating intelligently. The course of study this year begins with an overview of science skills followed by anatomy, hydrology, geology, and astronomy.  During the year, students will be asked to relate theories and ideas to scientific inquiry conducted in the classroom as well as through experimentation and project design.
