Reading Counts

A video that shows how to find and take a quiz and view your reports for points. Look for the HMH Sam Central icon (a pic of a dog) in the PORTAL to take a Reading Counts quiz.

Wonders Assignments

A video on how to access Reading WONDERS. Students start by clicking on the red McGraw Hill icon in the PORTAL. Watch how to find assignments and complete them.

GoMath ThinkCentral

A video explanation of how to access GoMath lessons and complete them. Students access GoMath/ThinkCentral through the PORTAL.

Follett Library Catalog

You will access it from the PORTAL. This automatically logs you in, so the first minute of the video will not apply. Click on 'Destiny Discover' on the far left to view the updated interface.

Edpuzzle

This video explains how to connect via Google sign on and connect with a code. It goes over the basics of using Edpuzzle as a student.

Flipgrid

Flipgrid is a website to facilitate video discussions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can pose questions, called "topics," and students can post video responses that appear in a tiled grid display.

Student Tutorials for Online Learning

A slideshow with mini-tutorials on a variety of topics that students might find useful.

Video Meetings

Zoom and Google Meet the two video conferencing options teachers will use to deliver instruction. Meeting links/codes will be provided by your teacher through Google Classroom.

StudentVue & ParentVue Overview

Synergy provides access to both parents and students. With Synergy, Parents/Guardians use a single sign-on to access all of their children’s information, regardless of school. Parents access Synergy using ParentVUE (link) and students will access using StudentVUE (link). Synergy helps parents/guardians stay informed and connected by providing day-to-day insight into their child’s academic experience and allows students to view their schedule, assignments, grades and communicate with their teacher. Students can also find the Synergy StudentVue link in the EGUSD Classlink PORTAL.

Note: After installing the ParentVUE or StudentVUE app, open it and in the settings screen (gears icon in the lower left corner) , type in the district’s Synergy URL https://ca-egusd.edupoint.com then click the “Test” button. Once the application finds the district, you can then enter your district username and password to login.
