8th Annual Franklin High School Invitational Band Review
Saturday, October 12, 2019
The Franklin High School band program is proud to sponsor the 8th Annual Franklin High School Invitational Band Review on October 12, 2019. Since our first band review in 2012, this event continues to attract well-known high school bands from Northern California and Nevada.
As in the past, the Jazz and Concert competitions begin in the morning at Franklin High School and are free to attend. The Parade and Percussion competitions begin at noon and will take place on Franklin High Road near Toby Johnson Middle School. Everyone loves a parade so bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the music from the sidewalk. Beginning later in the afternoon, the field show event will be held in the stadium at Consumnes Oaks High School with a $10 entrance fee.
This band review would not be possible without the support and hard work of our students, parents, alumni, Franklin High School staff, local businesses, the CSD and the city of Elk Grove. A huge “thank you” is extended to all the volunteers who have dedicated countless hours making this annual event a success!
PLEASE NOTE: ROAD CLOSURE FOR PARADE
The Franklin High School Band will be hosting a parade competition on Saturday, October 12, 2019. As a result, Franklin High Road will be closed from approximately 11:30 a.m. through 2:45 p.m. The closure of Franklin High Road will not interfere with the public’s ability to enter or exit the Franklin Library parking lot located on the corner of Whitelock Parkway and Franklin High Road. The parking lots at Toby Johnson Middle School (in front of main office and next to the grass fields) will not be accessible. In addition, street parking along the parade route will not be available. Please see the map of road blocks and parade route below.
