Teachers can model good habits by demonstrating effective desk organization, highlighting how a tidy space improves focus and efficiency. Regular desk checks, conducted daily or weekly, encourage students to maintain organization while reinforcing AVID’s emphasis on accountability and reflection. Incorporating structured routines, such as designated times for clearing and organizing desks, aligns with AVID’s focus on consistency and structure. Additionally, fostering responsibility by encouraging students to take ownership of their desk space helps build independence and personal accountability.
