Students will energize and refocus their minds.
SET UP:
None
STEPS:
Math Fingers is a fast and fun energizer that provides students' minds and bodies with both a physical and mental break from the content.
As a table group, choose two people to start.
When the group counts to three, the chosen participants will hold up any number on their fingers, up to 10.
The first person who adds them correctly first wins. The winner will play again and selects another person in the table group to play.
Repeat until everyone has had a turn and your table has a winner.
If time allows, have the table winners compete for the ultimate winner.
Extension
To increase rigor:
• Have students multiply rather than add.
