The High School Diploma Program (HSD) is for students earning credits toward a high school diploma. EGACE follows the core requirements of the State of California and the Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD).
Obtain your High School Diploma (HSD).
Develop college and career readiness skills.
Create a plan to help you transition to your next goal.
Enrolled students will use online curriculum and applications, including Edgenuity, Google Suite, Canvas, and Zoom.
Basic laptop or desktop computer with functioning camera and microphone
Reliable internet
Professional Gmail account for school
Pen and/or pencil
Highlighters
Notebook/binder paper
Headphones with mic (optional)
Set and follow a realistic study schedule based upon your personal graduation timeline and goal.
Attend weekly appointments with your instructor via Zoom or phone.
Use a Gmail account that displays your name for all school communication.
Respond to instructor emails within 24 hours.
Make all instructor-requested corrections to written work.
Take CASAS tests when notified.
Be respectful to all instructors, support staff, and fellow students.
Be punctual to all scheduled appointments with your instructor.
Use proper and appropriate language in all communication–verbal and written.
Dress appropriately for meetings in an upper-level academic setting.
90-100% = A
80-89% = B
70-79% = C
60-69% = D
59% and below = F
Transcripts: Please make sure you have provided EGACE ALL of your transcripts, e.g., from different high schools and/or college.
Work Verification: Students may earn elective credit for work and/or volunteer experience. Ask your teacher for the Work or Volunteer Verification form(s).
Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) Test: All EGACE students must take the school administered CASAS tests every 40 hours of study. Please do your best. Scores are used for course and class placements. Students who do not test during the prescribed time will be dropped.
