Good morning KG1 Melons! Ramadan Kareem! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have quite a few announcements this morning.

1. Please make note that this Thursday, May 14th will be our LAST day of online learning

2. Final Report Cards will be sent in a PDF format on Tuesday, May 19th to your Class Dojo inbox. When the school opens, you will also be able to pick up a signed copy in an envelope in the office.

3. Our last zoom meeting for the children will be tomorrow, Monday May 11th at 5:00pm. This will be the last opportunity the children have to see their friends and say goodbye for the summer, so please make note of the day and time. I will send the meeting ID and password shortly.

4. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please click this link below to view and sign up for a time. These conferences will be held on Zoom. After you have signed up for a time, I will confirm and send you the meeting ID and password.

These will be conferences to discuss your child’s growth in learning over the course of the year. I will also recommend some next steps for them to continue to practise over the summer and in KG2. Literacy:

Today we will begin with a letter-sound review game. The children have to sort the objects that come out of the alphabet goop and put them under their initial sound. For example, “strawberry” goes under “s”. Here is the link for the game:

Good morning KG1 Melons. Welcome to our last day of online learning. I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the children, families, and nannies for an amazing year! I know the end of the year was challenging, but I am so proud of how hard you have all worked. Parents and nannies have transformed into amazing teachers, and children have had to learn to stay focussed even while at home. It has been so hard for me not to see the children, and it’s even harder to say goodbye like this. However, all the pictures and videos you have been sending really put a smile on my face, so thank you so much! I can’t wait to see all the students in the hallways next year at EGA.
