Hands-On Activity:
Today’s fun learning activity is a Scavenger Hunt. Can your child hunt for objects around the house that begin with the letter H? Take pictures of the objects your child finds.

Literacy:
Today we will continue with the letter H. First, let’s have a look at the video below to see how we can draw the letter H.

Next, please print the worksheet below and have your child practise writing the letter H, uppercase and lowercase. If they need some assistance, you can print the letter using a yellow highlighter or marker, and your child can print overtop of it. Please send pictures of their work.

Math:
Today for math, we will be playing 2 math games. The first one is called, “what comes next?”. The children will have to determine the next number when counting. Here is the link:

Hands-On Activity:

Literacy:
Today we will begin with a letter review game. The children have to find the correct lowercase letter that matches the uppercase letter. For example, for ‘A’ they should find ‘a’. Here is the link for the game:

Literacy:
Today we will begin by reviewing the sound of the letter H and some things that begin with the letter H. Please review and watch the links below:

Next, please print off the worksheet and have the students choose one object that begins with the letter H to draw a picture of. They can also write the word underneath. You can write it with yellow marker, and the students can trace overtop. Or, you can write the word on a separate sheet of paper and the students can copy it. Please send me pictures of their finished work.

Today we will begin with a game for students to review letter sounds. Here is the game:

The children will need to match the object with the sound it begins with. For example “snake”, with “sssss”.

Math:

Next, please play the number matching game. The students can decide if they want to match number to numbers (3 and 3, which is easier), or number to objects (3 and 3 dots, which is a bit more difficult). Try it out both ways!

Hands-On Activity:
For today’s science experiment, let’s talk about the importance of washing our hands. This links really well to the Coronavirus as we can explain to children why washing our hands is so important. Tell the children the pepper is like the germs on our hands and when we wash our hands with soap, the germs go away. Check it out and do it at home!
