I hope you are all having a great time learning at home with your families. I’d first like to thank all the parents and guardians who are taking the time to sit with and learn with your child. I know many families have quite a few children and it may feel overwhelming, but we all appreciate the work you do with them, so thank you very much!

Thank you very much for bringing my attention to the problems we were having yesterday in accessing the booki website. I think the problem was that all the KG1 classes were using the same account. Therefore, I have created a new account for only Melon class. The login information is:

Click on the “My Books” section and the children can choose any book there. Click on download. Please refer to the tutorial on how to access this website. Please note there is a new email address from yesterday, but the password remains the same. Also, when you click on the ‘MY BOOKS’ section, you will see that Ms. Arwa has downloaded some Arabic books that she has recommended for you to read with your child. Please let me know if this works today.

Finally, we will be beginning some learning in Math. For this, we will use the Splash Learning website. I will be posting a tutorial on how to use this website, so don’t worry! On this website, children will log in to their own personal account and complete the assigned task for the day. There will be one short task each day. The great thing about this website is that I can view the results of the task, so please try to let the students complete it on their own. Please take the weekend to log in to our class, then log in to your child’s account and browse through the site. Please let me know as soon as you can if you are having any difficulties accessing the website.
