What is effective altruism?

Effective altruism is a global network of people who care deeply about the world, make helping others a significant part of their lives, and use evidence and reason to figure out how best to do so.

How the fellowship works

The Effective Altruism Fellowship @ Uni Graz is a study program to engage intensively with the ideas of effective altruism and the question of "How can we do the most good?" through readings, videos, podcasts, exercises and weekly small-group discussions.

The program lasts 4 weeks, and you'll have a weekly discussion session with a group of 3-5 particpants and one facilitator. Before attending each discussion, you'll spend around 2 hours completing reading materials and a brief exercise.

All preparatory reading material will be in English. Depending on the native language of other fellows, the discussions will take place in either English or German.
