Did you know that 80% of mobile apps are deleted within the first 3 days of original download? What if your class was an app, would your students delete it? How can you ensure that instruction isnā€™t long-pressed and permanently trashed from the memory of your students and staff? Deeply engage your learners by designing experiences, not just lessons. This is Design Teaching.

šŸš¦šŸ‚ šŸŽ² Smashboard Edu

Problem-based learning & the design-thinking process smashed into a gamified experience!

Smashboard Edu is a gamified learning process that leads learners through the design-thinking process, involves app-smashing, collaborative goal-setting, and iteration. The main objective is to create a unique product that solves a relevant, real-world problem.

Learn how a Google Innovator Project turned into a full-on student craze. Students devouring complex learning experiences and begging for more? Yes, please! Turn your ho-hum lesson plans into deeply engaging experiences where each student or group creates a unique product that they want to write home about! Using a simple Google Slides template and well-designed logic sequence, you can unleash your classroom creativity with nothing but free web-based tools or cross platform mobile apps. Note that this session is an extension of the #DesignTeaching concept.
