OUTCOME: Students will be able to describe how applications of data science are being used and be able to discuss some of the ethical implications of these technologies
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a rapidly growing area with huge potential to shape society in a variety of ways. Some applications are used to automate processes traditionally done by humans. Programs that are available to analyse huge amounts of data quickly are created that can improve the traditional decision making process of humans.

Choose two examples of how AI is currently being used or is being developed for use in modern society. There are some examples above to help you.
Using the prompts on the document outline the technology used, the potential impact on society and any ethical issues that may arise from allowing computers to make decisions that humans have traditionally been relied on to do.
