An important part of reading and writing is the development of sight word knowledge. These are common words that we are often not able to 'sound out'. Students need to be able to automatically recognise commonly used words to develop their confidence and ability to read and write simple texts. If you child is able to recall all the words in a list with speed and accuracy, please move to the next list. Automatic recall of sight words is the goal when learning sight words.
