Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy and the Schools’ Privacy Collection Notice.
The Department of Education and Training Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy, describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.
We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Google Workspace for Education safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Google Workspace for Education, please contact the school.

As we are now in Term 1, please ensure that students bring their hats to school. 'No Hat, No Play' is once again in effect so we kindly request that all students adorn their hats when enjoying outdoor activities.
Attendance
At Eynesbury Primary School, we maintain high expectations for the potential of every child and implement a rigorous and sequential program that maximises each child’s learning. Making sure your child is at school remains the best way to ensure they continue to learn, develop and grow. Please continue to prioritise attendance at school and, where absence is inevitable due to illness, medical appointments or family commitments, notify us via Compass or by phone at your earliest convenience.
At Eynesbury Primary School, when a child is absent for three consecutive days without an explanation on COMPASS, the classroom teacher will make a phone call to check in. If this pattern of absence continues, you will receive a call from the team leader. Further continuation of this pattern will result in the absences being passed on to the leadership team.
At Eynesbury Primary, we prioritize learning, and every minute counts. We kindly request that students attend school every day, except in cases of illness. This policy also applies to late arrivals, as the doors open at 8:40 am, and learning promptly begins at 8:45 am.
Over the course of the year, we are required to run four different practise drills. For your information, and in case you feel you need to front-load your child and their expectations around these drills, please note the schedule of drills throughout the year:
Term 1: On-site evacuation drill
Term 2: Lockdown drill
Term 3: Off-site evacuation drill (Eynesbury Recreation Reserve)
Term 4: Shelter-in-place (all staff and students attend to the Gym)
Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions.

Compass:
A reminder that we use Compass as our primary form of communication with parents and families. If you have not yet signed on to Compass and need assistance in doing so, please contact the office.
Eynesbury Primary School Mobile Phone Policy
A reminder that under Department of Education regulations, mobile phones are not permitted at school. If students bring a mobile phone to school, they must submit the device to the office where it will be kept securely until the end of the school day. Please also note that ‘smart’ watches must have internet functionality switched off during the school day.
Bikes at Eynesbury Primary School
It’s been wonderful to see the number of students riding their bikes and scooters to school and using our bike shed facilities. If your child intends to ride to school, please ensure that they are equipped with a bike lock. While the gates are locked during the day, a bike lock adds another necessary level of safety and security. Most importantly, please continue to speak to your children about bike safety including wearing a helmet, crossing at designated crossings, being mindful of pedestrians by walking their bikes through foot traffic and generally being aware of road conditions.
Our Annual Report to the School Community (2022) can be found here. The Annual Report contains information regarding our enrolment demographics, staff profile, performance against standardised measures and financial overview.
CSEF APPLICATIONS
If you have a current Health Care Card, please speak to the office to see if you are eligible for support through CSEF. As previous applications made at other schools are not transferred year-to-year, please also see us if you need your application renewed.
