Ancient History
Duration One Semester
This course enables students to explore some of the great mysteries of the Ancient World. Students will adopt the roles of archaeologists and historians, developing key historical thinking skills, including the analysis of primary sources, examining the cause and consequence of key events and even conducting a historical inquiry. They will examine key aspects of daily social life, government, religion, and military actions, gaining insight into the impact these cultures had on the development of the modern world.
This unit is a strong foundation for further study of history in year 10 or VCE units 1 and 2 Ancient History.

The World of Commerce
Duration One Semester
In World of Commerce, students explore the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate the financial world. They learn how to create and manage budgets, understand basic economic principles, and make informed decisions as consumers. The subject also covers entering into contracts—like mobile phone plans—how to manage money responsibly, and how to identify and avoid scams. It's all about becoming a smart, confident, and financially savvy individual.
