Duration Full Year
Year 9 Humanities provides a framework for developing student knowledge of societies, past and present through insightful studies of the Industrial Revolution, movement of people between 17-19th centuries, and the lasting impacts of World War I. Through primary source investigation and research tasks, students explore the inner workings of Australian democracy, investigate global food security, and examine how globalisation affects health and sustainability. The knowledge and skills students acquire in this study enable them to participate as confident, responsible and active citizens in a democratic society which functions in a global context.
