Once you have watched the video, scroll down to read about the US Freedom Rides. You should also go to Civil Rights Movement -- Images of a Peoples' Movement to deepen your empathic understanding of the US Freedom Rides protests. While you are conducting your reading, see if you can gather information to answer the following questions:

You may find some of the terms used in the clips offensive - please keep in mind that these terms are referenced in the historical context and are not appropriate terms for you to use in your own writing.

While you are conducting your research, see if you can gather information to answer the following questions:

Navigate to the Digital Learning Selector and download a T-chart to use for this activity. Complete the T-chart showing the key features of the USA and Australian Freedom Rides. Once you have listed key features for each, you should highlight the similarities. When you are finished, you should submit your completed T-Chart to your teacher.
