During these lessons, students will explore significant developments and cultural achievements, such as the way manuscripts were created. They will examine the changing relations between Islam and the West, including an examination of the Crusades from both perspectives.
Learning intentions:
develop an understanding of the significance of the creation of manuscripts and how this changed over time
use sources to learn about significant developments in Medieval Europe
understand that there are different perspectives of an historical event.

design a flow-chart of the process of the creation of manuscripts
use information from sources to examine the changes to the creation of manuscripts over the period
identify and describe differing perspectives of an event using evidence from sources.
