Year 8 timetable

Kangaroo week

Introduction

(select for help using the timetable or if you have questions)

When should I start my day?

  • Exact times for starting and finishing are not listed so you can be flexible around your teacher led check-ins and so you and everyone else in your home are not trying to all join an online meeting at the same time.

Do I have to do the work in this order?

  • The lessons are sequenced so definitely start with Day 1, even if you are learning from home for the first time in the middle of the week.

  • Each day's work can be completed in any order. Try starting with your favourite subject or start with a different subject each day.

How long should I work for?

  • The suggested time for each lesson is based on school hours. Complete as much work as possible in the suggested time, but don't work for hours to try and finish everything.

  • Use the suggested times as a guide and reach out to your teacher if you are unable to complete work or are confidently completing work within the timeframe.

  • Breaks can be longer if needed, you know best how long you need away from the screen.

What should I do if the work is too easy or too hard?

  • Most links to lessons open pages that have extension and extra activities or suggestions for less difficult work, so scroll to the bottom of the lesson page to look for that.

  • If the lesson page doesn't have suggestions for less difficult work or extension activities reach out to your teacher for suggestions.

  • You can also try looking for activities related to the topic for that subject on the External digital resources page.
