Ah Good day to you all. Lieutenant James Cook here, April 29 1770. My job is to make the map that shows what the east coast of New Holland is like. I have had to track the planet Venus as it passed across the Sun and helped to determine the size of the solar system. I've navigated the good ship Endeavour from England stopping at Tahiti and New Zealand and now we have reached New Holland in this bay of stingrays, we need to go ashore to collect water food and some firewood. How I lead my crew to communicate with the natives will be of great consequence. The plant and animal specimens that we discover and collect here will be news for the world.
Do you think that our arrival at this Bay will impact the future of the land here?
