Here's a model of the Endeavor. The model is one metre in length, but the actual ship was just over 30 metres. What details can you observe?

There were 94 people on board, it was very hot and cramped below the deck. The food could not be refrigerated. It was kept in wooden barrels, it was not very tasty or fresh.

Lieutenant James Cook was in charge. He had lieutenants, marines and sailors to assist him. Also on board were botanists Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander and an artist Sydney Parkinson.
