The Multicultural Public Perspectives Public Speaking Competition 2022
Welcome to our Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition page! For 27 years, this competition has encouraged primary school students to explore ideas of multiculturalism in Australia while they practise their public speaking skills and improve their confidence. Every year around 2,000 students are chosen to represent their schools in the local finals, which will hopefully be running live and in-person all around the state in 2022.
Well done to all our Stage 2 and Stage 3 students who participated this year. Our CWPS adjudicators Mrs Mawad, Ms Yasugi, Mrs Kim and Mrs Eadie were blown away by the high quality of the speeches! There was a mix of well-researched content connecting with personal stories and thought-provoking messages about multiculturalism.
We also want to commend all of Stage 2 and 3 for the planning and perseverance in designing and creating their speeches.
Congratulations to the students who have been selected to represent our school at the regional finals:
Shohaan S (Year 4) - 'Racism - No Way!'
Demir C (Year 4) - 'Racism - No Way!'
Emily B (Year 6) - "Identity: It's Complicated!"
Sophie K (Year 6) - "The Story of Australia"
