Video highlights from the CWPS Games Day (video by Ms Yasugi)
In Term 4, Week 9 Year 6 hosted a Games Day. This event was a fundraiser for Year 6 graduation. We'd like to thank all families for supporting this initiative and Mrs Habbouchi for preparing students so successfully.
In class, Year 6 students designed and created a series of engaging games for K-6 to play across the day including air hockey, parkour, guessing games, wheel of fortune and the very popular escape rooms and haunted houses. Year 5 supported by running board games, handball competition, dance sessions and novelty races. It was a magical day led by students. Importantly, it gave Year 6 a final opportunity to lead their peers in engaging and fun activities, and younger students the chance to connect with their Kinder Buddies and Peer Support Leaders one last time. Unfortunately, the Zooper Doopers were not frozen enough to serve on Games Day but we enjoyed them on the Friday. Student behaviour was outstanding across the day, they demonstrated a spirit of cooperation and sportsmanship. Well done everyone.
