In 2022 the Year 6 graduates donated a Buddy's Bench to the school as their farewell gift and legacy item. This was made possible through the generosity of all families during our fundraising drives including Movie Day, Games Day and House Days. Mr Drew kindly installed it at the front of the school as part of a redevelopment which includes new flag poles and a grass area. The bench is a symbol of  Year 6's enduring care and commitment to their peers and in recognition of the work they did to relaunch the Kindergarten Buddies Program and Peer Support in the school. It is hoped that it will be a place for students to come if they are in need of support on the playground. 

We would like to thank Mr Drew for his expertise in installing the bench which also included the designing and laying of a concrete slab with embedded time capsule. The time capsule has been buried beneath the slab and contains letters from all Stage 3 students about their lives and experience at CWPS. A plaque will be placed on top indicating that it can be opened in 50 years time. Thanks Mr Drew for this exciting opportunity.
